Sciatic pain

I have been experiencing sciatica pain going all the way to my leg these past couple of days. The pain comes on on and off on its own every few months. However yesterday I had a bit of trouble with the Squat, mainly I felt a lot of discomfort/pain setting up under the bar. Should I reduce intensity on the squat and deadlift for the week until the week until the pain alleviates?

In these situations where there are symptom fluctuations, I typically advise people to start warming up and make the decision based on how things are going on that particular day. Often, once people get moving/warmed up, things start feeling better. If not, you’ll need to adjust.

Thanks Austin. I actually tried this today and I could not pull 365 (I have gotten to 405 for 5 in the past ). Maybe I need to let this “heal”.
