Sets Across or Increase Weight

So I’m newer here. Just starting the bridge today. I’m sure this has been asked before so I apologize, but when it comes to RPE, day 1 says “5@6, 5@7, 5@8x1 set”. Would this be the same weight for all 3 sets (assuming it’s getting harder each set? Or is this referring to increasing the weight each set? I’ve seen training logs where the weight is increasing each set but I’ve also seen people say in comments, the intention is to keep same weight across.

Can someone clarify? Or point me to a conversation where this has been answered? I’ve searched but can’t find anything.

Thanks!

This would represent an increase in weight with each set.

If you were crunched for time on a particular day, could you do sets across with shorter breaks? Would there be drawbacks?

If it’s the same number of sets either way, I don’t see how doing them “across” helps you finish any faster compared to hitting the programming prescription, other than I guess how much time it takes you to put 10 lb plates on the bar or whatever your jump is).
