Shift Work Programming

Hey guys,

I work rotating 12 hours shifts on a 2days/2 nights/4days off schedule. Have made good progress on SSLP over the past 4ish months but things are stalling out a bit. I’ve run myself up into some form trouble that I’ll need to reset and fix. I think my shitty sleep schedule is holding me back. The LP may just be getting too heavy for me to recover from. How do you guys cope with compromised recovery like this? How should I take this into account for my programming? I may have to give up on SS soon and am looking for something that can be flexible so I can take advantage of my off days and not die when I’m on shift.

Thanks for the post and welcome to the forum.

As far as what to do here, I don’t think it is your sleep, but rather just the natural progression of LP no longer being viable for you. We would recommend The Bridge.
