First off, thansk for these forums. And congrats on joining BBM. I think we all appreciate the newly input and expansion of BBM.
My question regards shin splints. My brother, a low key basketball player is diagnosed with it. After summer stop (off season) he started playing again and soon he started experiencing pains and later got diagnosed with shin splints. With BBM info I’d reckon this was a load management issue, to much to soon. He is clearled to lift, but not to play ball or run, and has been told it probably takes months rather than weeks.
Its a term I hear a lot (shin splints) but couldnt find any info here or on any other trusted source. Do you guys have any experience with it and what would your guys treatment plan be? With respect to lifting I can make a plan regarding fatigue and load management etc but I’d have no idea putting that into practice running and playing ball for example.
