Shoes and Feet

Chris Duffin has really been preaching against shoes for foot health. He mentions a very old medical study on feet and shoes in his lectures. Do you think modern footwear weakens the feet in a meaningful way, or does it even matter? I know he is selling slippers, which I might purchase for boxing and deadlifts, but would there be a benefit to a minimalist shoe for tasks like running?

No, we don’t think this matters.

Incorrectly selected shoes can greatly affect the foot and the condition of the whole human body.

All shoes seem to have a negative effect. But it’s not. Sports models or shoes with an orthopedic bottom are exactly those options that support the foot as much as possible.
