Should I be evaluated by orthodontist? (mild OSA)

Recently I got in-lab sleep study done. My RDI was 7.1/h and Apnea+hyponea is 5.1. The doctor said my apnea was very mild, therefore he recommended sleeping on side.

I tried that way and lowered my pillow height. With that being said, I still feel tired during the day.
my BMI is 23.4
I don’t have nasal deviated septum(I got checked several years ago). I’m currently taking pills for allergy rhinitis.
Even though it’s just a pure conjecture, I think that I have short chin specifics, i.e. Things like mouth breathing, drooling in the sleep, receding chin).

I don’t give a what about its look(sorry for ugly wording). But I can’t tolerate that it could impair my recovery, concentration.
I need your help, since I lack of critical eyes to look into evidences.

If I am evaluated by orthodontist, can it help in a long term other than placebo?
Plus, does myofuctional therapy help in a long run.

Thanks for your time.

Why did you get a sleep study done in the first place? Were you having any particular symptoms?

I don’t have any way of knowing whether an orthodontic evaluation would be of any benefit.

Given that your AHI was so low, unless there were other concerning features on your sleep study, I would look at other reasons for your symptoms (if you actually have any).

I also don’t know what “myofunctional therapy” is.
