Should I loose weight?

Hello,

First I just wanted to say I appreciate all of the great content you have been putting out through this site.

I’m:

26 year old male
163 pounds
5 ft 7.5 inches
33.5 in waist
25 BMI

With this information, do you think I should loose weight or maintain? I plan on purchasing your beginner template and getting back in the gym (extended layoff due to Covid-19 and other circumstances). My main goal is to compete in powerlifting.

Hey Andrew,

I think I’d aim to maintain weight while running the first phase of the Beginner Template, then consider a small surplus for phase 2 and 3.

Thank you for the advice Jordan! Would you put a limit on waist size gain during the bulk?

Probably around 35 inches.
