first, thank you for this forum and the possibility to write here!
So my issue started like 4 weeks ago. I noticed a pain more inside and more on the outer side of my shoulder.
I actually did not stop training first because when I started training I did not really notice the pain. I start to notice it after training.
So then with Covid hitting back here the gyms closed and I had to stop training. Tried one upper session in my home gym where I only trained back and biceps but I also had pain after my workout.
After this, I stopped training at all. Now I’ve been not training for around 2 full weeks and the pain has not improved that much.
I went to my normal doctor to get it checked but he just asked me if I had any movement limitation, which I do not have. He then told me that it’s probably just inflammation and I should take pain meds for 3 days and then it should get better after some rest.
I’m not quite sure if inflammation is really the reason for my shoulder pain.
Also as additional info: I never had this but it started flaring up after I really adhered to my workout plan and never skipped a workout in 5 weeks.
I trained 5 days a week: upper/lower push/pull/legs with an RIR-progression model.
I also always had a weird feeling in my right shoulder when doing lateral raises in any form. Not pain but just a weird sensation.
What can I do in this scenario? Are there any self-tests I could do if it’s really just inflammation or whatever?
Maybe just my rotator cuff muscles are too weak and I need to start training them?
