Hi BBM team,
I’ve been struggling with a nagging left shoulder injury for about 8 months now, my issues are as follows :
-Sharp pain around my AC joint when horizontal/vertical pressing
-Dull pain around anterior deltoid when pressing
-moderately protruding collarbone on the left side that coincided with the occurrence of pain
The pain is particularly bad as I increase intensity so I have been resigned to 10 + rep range for all pressing movements. I haven’t found any pressing movements that are not painful so the rep range and load management have been the only way I’ve been able to deal with this. The reason I am reaching out is because
1.) The pain has been getting worse and is leading me to compensate/change my form during pressing movements
2.) I am concerned about the distinct change in my collarbone on my left side
I’ve separated this shoulder before playing football, but that was and injury that resolved itself over a couple months. Since this has been going on for a while I was hoping to get your input on how to remedy this problem and if whether or not the morphological change is cause for concern.
