Shoulder Rolled Forward

Hello BBM,
my right shoulder is rolled forward and really affects by benching. When I bench,
I pull my scapula back and down etc. but when I lower the bar my right scapula clicks, I guess
on my rib cage cause I can feel it back there. Once that happens, my right pec literally shuts
off when bar get 2 inches from chest. If I use a lot of leg drive it helps to keep my scap tight , in place etc.
but as the weight gets heavier, scapula ultimately clicks and off goes my pec.
Im a desk jockey for work so bad posture is something I’m always trying to fix.
Should I try the pec major min stretches and rhomboid strengthing etc? Didn’t seem to
help in past, but maybe I didn’t commit to it enough?

Unfortunately the mechanism described here doesn’t really make sense (i.e., your pec is not “literally shutting off”). I’d recommend posting a video form check to our FB group and seeing if you can get some help there.

Turning off meaning it loses tightness almost completely.
