Right shoulder more forward than left

Hello docs.

I just wanna ask on the possibilities on why my right shoulder is more forward than my left. When I squat, the right side of the bar is more forward than the left. Also, when I press overhead and lock out my elbows, my right arm is more forward than my left. It’s not causing me any pain and I’m fine with it, but making my shoulders symmetrical wouldn’t hurt either.

As far as I know, there is currently no compelling evidence to suggest the existence of “tight muscles” and the efficacy of stretching in altering resting muscle lengths, but somehow I feel that my right pec minor is “tighter” than my left. Or perhaps its just my asymmetrical bone structure that causes my shoulders to get crooked?

It may be very difficult, even impossible, to give a diagnosis of my situation without seeing me in person, but I’m curious as to what the docs think of this.

Thank you!

What sports did you play in the past?

I doubt it is a tight pec minor and honestly I don’t even feel comfortable saying it is your shoulder rolled forward. Watching individuals squat in biomechanics lab we see a lot of variation along the kinetic chain that individuals perceive to be something it is not. Individuals will shift their hips, rotate their trunk, and a myriad of other subtleties and feel they are symmetrical or account what they do feel to something it is not. If you want to work some shoulder drills into your routine to see if there is some side to side differences that is fine. You may see some strength deficits side to side you want to address but overall it would not be something I would be overly concerned with.
