Spinae Erectors

On squat and DL days, my spinae erectors get absolutely fried by the end and are typically the limiting factor.

Is there anything specific that can alleviate this issue with respect to squat and DL if form is reasonably good?

Keep calm, be smart with RPE and train on? As the weights are going up, slowly, the feeling of “pain” and fatigue isnt getting any worse.

Office job probably doesnt help…

Any advice would be greatly appreciated as the old myth “DL are bad for your back” is just nagging in the background.

Hey @MildVindaloo - thanks for the questions. You are spot on with this - “Keep calm, be smart with RPE and train on”

To combat the “DL are bad for your back” - it is ok to use your back, we are resilient and capable humans. It’s also ok to DL if that is something that interest you.
