Hello Drs,
I usually try to think of bringing my hips straight up and let them go forward as I ascend. I recently read
Dr Feigenbaum mention I think u should be trying to push your hips forward and up on ascent.
when I do that I get what seems to be hip joint pain and high hamstring pain. Which would be correct if I’m trying to increase my 1rm? Thank you Drs.
OGIF,
In general, it’s hard to tell someone what cues are appropriate to use without seeing their lifts. That said, If you’re getting a substantial amount of pain using a certain technique it’s probably not ideal for increasing your 1RM, though there’s some additional nuance in there I won’t bore you with.
