Starting out with herniated discs

Hi,

This is a question from my wife. She has been dealing with herniated/bulging discs (3 neck, 3 back) disc dehydration, mild levo scoliosis of thoraco lumbar spine and mild/moderate dextro scoliosis of the cervico dorsal spine. She has been dealing with these issue for 10+ years. Her doctor suggested physical therapy or a personal trainer. Back in December she hurt herself during a physical therapy session, so now she has a personal trainer that is more focused on building muscles than strength.

We are wondering if basic barbel movements(squat, deadlift, press, etc) would be OK for her injuries? Or is there something else that is suggested?

We routinely train folks with these issues (and some of our coaches have even dealt with them personally before), and they do quite well.

If you’d like specific guidance / advice on the matter, our Rehab experts would be happy to consult.

Thanks for replying Austin. I am actually working with someone who you have trained before. I take it those rehab experts would be a paid service?
