I have been doing stiff leg deadlifts for a few weeks and I’m loving them. But I have an issue with uneven stress on my hamstrings. At the starting position, my right hamstring feels stretched a lot more than my left. The DOMS are way more intense in my right leg as well. What could cause this? One leg longer, one hamstring tighter, strength imbalance between legs, hips off-set? My set up looks and feels symmetrical. How can I go about troubleshooting the problem?
It doesn’t mean anything and it’s not a problem per se’. I would recommend continuing on as planned, use RPE appropriately, and give it a few months.
