Hi docs, I hope you’re both keeping well.
About a week ago I started to get an odd feeling in my right leg and I was hoping I could run it past you.
It’s not painful at all, but I periodically get a “warm” feeling in a spot just below and to the left of my right knee. It tends to last a few seconds and happens a few times an hour (sometimes nothing for several hours). I can best describe the feeling as like having warm water hitting that area, but only in a spot a few inches in diameter. Over the last day or so, I’ve noticed a larger area on the front left of my lower leg feeling a little tender (not painful, but there’s a sensation there that wasn’t before) - this is from where I’m getting the warm sensation down to just above the ankle and feels more continuous.
My activity hasn’t changed much recently as I’ve been doing dumbbell workouts x3 per week for months now, with a couple of cardio days. But the day before the warm sensation started I did some split squats, which are a novel exercise for me. So, I guess they might have aggravated something in my leg, but I’ve not had sensation like this before from an injury.
I consulted dr google and got a lot of results for valve issues/DVT or sciatica - I’m inclined to carry on with life/exercise as normal and hope the feeling goes away, but I thought I should just check if this sounds like something more serious. I’d really appreciate any thoughts you might have. Thanks!
