Hi guys,
I’ve recently started doing sumo deadlifts instead of conventional, with advice from Leah. She thinks it’s a better fit for me with my height and hip angle at set up, given my almost horizontal back angle. I’ve delt with a lot of low back fatigue and soreness for a long time conventional deadlifting but switching to sumo has really helped train it with more volume/frequency without any discomfort.
My question is when it comes to variations, RDLs, stiff leg and deficit deadlidts etc, can I perform these but just with a sumo stance? Or basically just rule them out and stick with block pulls and paused deadlifts as my variations?
Any advice is much appreciated.
Aaron
