Supplemental lifts too fatiguing

Hey BBM crew, can I get your advice?
When supplemental lifts makes your main lift 1eRM to drop because it is too fatiguing, do you change it or do you stick with it?

To make this little more clear, I noticed when doing training blocks with RDL (“easier lifts”) my DL eRM is going up from week to week.
But when I have 2ct paused DL, although I feel fine, my perceived fatigue is not that noticeable, but when it comes to performance, my dl is really poor (10-20 kg drop in eRM)

So the question is: do that short term drop affects long term development?
Would you recommend switching too fatiguing supplement lifts or not?

It depends how short term the drop is, as I wouldn’t worry about something that persists for a <3 weeks while you adapt, though I might be more worried if it’s persistent.

If you have a good amount of training history suggesting that you respond better to lighter supplemental lifts then I would go off of that. If you only have a few blocks where you’ve observed this trend then I’m not sure I’d go off that. This also depends on how your programming is setup entirely.
