Swollen lymph nodes (maybe)

Hello BBM.

Been sick since past Tuesday, almost recovered now. Last training session was past Monday (weighted pull-ups, weighted push-ups, weighted lunges).

Everything was normal, but past Friday or Thursday, not sure, I started developing pain inside my armpit (photo below) which triggers when bringing my arm overhead or when reaching for something. The more I stretch, the more the pain. The area is a bit swollen. Also, the pain extends to the inner side or the bicep. I worked normally all week construction, didn’t feel anything acute happening.

I’d what to expect now, should I work normally or could I aggravate it more. Could this be a muscle strain maybe, or it sounds like a swollen lymph node given the absence of a traumatic event. Thanks in advance…!

Hi,

Sorry, this is beyond the scope of what we can figure out via the forum. If it persists/worsens or is concerning to you, an in-person evaluation would be needed.

Hi Dr. Baraki. So you suggest I see a specialized clinician or physio?

Thanks.

In a scenario like this, we would recommend seeing a physician first for something like this.
