Tabata for conditioning

What are your thoughts on Tabata - classically 20 sec all out, 10 sec rest, repeat x8, rest a minute or two then repeat for 4 cycles?

If I’m using a C2 rower, what do you recommend for conditioning to reduce body fat and shrink my waist measurement, in the context of barbell training and calorie deficit?

I don’t think it’s great for anything and leaves most people underconditioned unless they’re doing a lot more training on top of it.

I think in our typical population who is resistance training, 25-30 min of LISS should be the initial management.
