Tennis anyone?

This might (hopefully) be a training question, as I am hoping I can adjust something there. So I recently added the bench into my training. I had just been doing press/squat/pull.
I am now experiencing what I believe is lateral epicondylitis; basically it hurts on the outside of my elbow when I pick something up with my arm in extension (small pain) or if I just make a tight fist or grip hard (moderate pain.
Anything I should do As far as adjusting training or helping it go away?
Do I need to do anything? I’m not really bothered by pain unless it is someone hitting me in the knuckles with a bokken or something. I would be okay just training through it if that makes sense? I just don’t want to aggravate it until it really sucks or cause weakness or a problem down the road.

Thank you!

If it doesn’t actually bother you during training, I don’t see a reason to modify your training.

Thanks! I was hoping to hear that.

You wouldn’t be concerned about any long term effects as far as weakness or anything? I know the whole tendon-osis/it is thing gets too much attention. My philosophy on pain or injury is generally just …keep getting stronger. This has served me well so far.

No, I wouldn’t be worried about weakness.

If it gets to the point where it affects your ability to perform the lifts, you may need a more direct rehab approach. But since it doesn’t seem to be bothering you to lift, carry on.
