Hi folks,
I’ve been very slowly bulking for more or less 2 years now, starting at around ~73kg in Nov 2023, and today at ~84.5kg.
Initially this was without tracking my diet, just making sure I was eating enough protein, fibre and fruit/veg portions, and keeping saturated fat and egregiously processed foods moderate. I gained probably around 0.5-1kg per month, but with periods of no weight gain, and some periods of small losses due to vacations, etc.
Earlier this year I decided I want to be a bit more focused and started tracking what I eat, gaining approx ~1kg per month, again with some periods of slower gain or slight losses due to general life stuff or not estimating my calories correctly at first.
Over the years I’ve clearly gained some size, and added nearly 2 inches to my upper arm circumference, but at my current weight I’m still not looking as Jacked™️ as I’d like - I reckon I probably could stand to get up to 90+kg.
Only concern is my waist circumference is now approaching ~35 inches - which I seem to recall being the BBM ‘slow down a little’ cutoff…?
Just wondering if it’s reasonable to continue at this point, or whether I should look at trimming the fat a little?
For reference I’m ~186cm / 6”1 in height, on about 3750 calories and ~200g protein per day. If it matters, I’d guess my bf% is around 15-18% (not super lean, but lightly visible abs, and occasional bicep veins making an appearance if the lighting is good!). I have been Bodybuilding II, 3-day and 4-day for the past while, plus 2.5-3 hours of running per week.
Thank you
