A friend asked for help and I’d like to ensure I point her down the right path.
She has never trained, is morbidly obese, and 60 years old. Ideally I would put her in touch with someone like Dr. Baraki who is local, but financially that is not going to work out for her.
I’ve asked her to review the nutrition information on: Resources | Barbell Medicine and plan on helping her set up some reasonable macro goals and learn the lifts safely. My plan was to suggest she run through SSLP->The Bridge 1.0->GPP Endurance->Bridge 2.0->12 Week Strength and suggest she inquire about the monthly programming after the GPP endurance template as finances allows.
Does this sound like an appropriate path forward for such an individual?
