Training for a meet 5 months out

Hi Jordan and Team,

I recently signed up for my first meet at the end of this coming May. I just came off Powerbuilding II and am now in week 3 of Powerlifting II (second time running the template). Leading up to my meet, I was hoping for some guidance on how to approach my training over the next 5ish months. I was thinking of finishing the development block of Powerlifting II, then after a deload start over with the development block again and run the full program and peak ahead of the the meet. Is running back-to-back developments blocks with a deload between a bad idea? Given I have some time before the meet, I just want to make sure I’m getting in enough work prior to a peaking cycle. Any or all guidance would be appreciated!

Thank you!
-Mr. Jiggs

I think that’s a fine idea, provided you’re responding well to the program

If you’re plateauing, I’d consider changing some of the lifts for other variants. You may also consider getting into our group programming, as we give individuals specialized programming for their meets.

Thanks, Jordan! I will look into the group programming!
