Powerlifting 2 and Peaking

BBM Crew,

i just competed in my first powerlifting meet this past weekend and loved it. I just purchased the 13 week powerlifting 2 program and my goal is to enter another meet in November or December this year.

It looks like the program has a peak built into it but I want to get some insight in regards to setting myself up for the best possible total at my next meet and plan accordingly.

Do I run the program right into the meet or would it be wise to switch to a peaking specific program like your 3 week fast peak program?

Without other historical knowledge of your preferences and responsiveness to various peaking strategies, I would just run the program right into the meet. The peak built into it is pretty good for most. Keep detailed notes this time around and perhaps you’ll have more insight into this for your next meet!
