Training recommendations for Hiatal Hernia.

So I was recently diagnosed with a hiatal hernia after an endoscopy procedure that was done because of acid reflux. Also testing for Barrett’s.

I’m 27 5’7 and 172 lbs. I feel like I’m in amazing shape as I’ve been lifting on and off the last few years with your templates and also training Jiu Jitsu.

I was wondering if you had an recommendations on lifting or should I proceed as normal. I’m currently taking omeprazole, famotidine, and Gaviscon.

I don’t have specific modifications that I’d recommend in training for a hiatal hernia. The majority of these do not cause symptoms, and if they do, the treatment options are primarily medical or surgical. Assuming you want to continue strength training, there aren’t modifications that can be made in the gym to modify this.
