Training + Travel, Tamed Or Otherwise

I plan on starting the bridge 1.0 next week (as I am on the SSNLP and everything is falling apart). I travel often for work and obviously finding a barbell gym is the best option but if I can’t do I skip training or just putter around in the hotel gym?

Follow up question: If I have to skip or substitute for a couple of days on the bridge, just repeat the planned week the following week? It would be week 4 in this case and then again two weeks later.

So far on the LP I’ve had success at finding places on the road but the workouts were always rough. It has been mainly luck, and a little planning, finding a place that was close to my hotel, and my luck won’t last forever.

Thanks for your time.

Hey Adam,

Thanks for posting. We’re happy to have you here.

For the training aspect, I don’t think I’d ever recommend skipping the gym if it’s avoidable. I’d also have a hard time believing that there are not gyms with barbells (even globo gyms) in most markets that you can actually travel to these days. I suppose I could be wrong, but in that scenario I would push back training until you can get to a barbell.

I wouldn’t plan on skipping enough days per week that you’d have to repeat a week. Rather, if you’re going to have to miss day 3 because the city you’re in has zero barbells in it then I’d either do the session a day early or push it back until you get home and then move on to the next week.

As an aside, as a guy who travels all the time as well- I think you can just train at a globo gym wherever you’re going and be just fine.
