Trap bar vs Conv

Hello, i started using trap bar from low handles as a deadlift assistance (beltless too) and weights are just flying up, i can leg drive very well, quads are feeling the burn too. I am 90% certain that my beltless low handle trap bar is stronger than my conventional

Now i wonder why is this? Better leg drive? Better starting position? (I have shit leverages so) Should i ditch conventional? (My comp dl is sumo, conv and trap bar are just assistance exercises)

It may be related to the differences in mechanics and is more “playing to your strengths”, particularly if you already have strong legs.

If you train for competitive powerlifting and pull sumo in meets, the only requirement is that you train/practice the sumo deadlift. You are free to experiment with anything else, including this substitution, and see how it works for you.
