Hi all
Now here is an utterly cosmetical / asthetical question, but I wasn’t sure which board this would fit in better.
What affects vascularity (apart from body fat percentage)?
Many people have those really thick veins sticking out on their biceps or on other parts, even without being extremely shredded.
I, on the other hand, almost have no visible or thick veins on my body at all, even on parts where the skin is already extremely thin (e.g. forearms or biceps), even straight after training where I should be most pumped up.
While my main training purpose is not aesthetics anymore, I have to admit that thick veins do look awesome on one’s arms.
I guess that apart from body fat, this is ultimately a matter determined by genetics, but I was wondering what the exact reason was - my blood needs to be flowing through some vessel after all. So are my veins simply deeper down (e.g. underneath muscle tissue) or do some people have thinner, but more veins?
Thanks and best regards
Toby
