Wrist injury and training

History: I have had dequervain syndrome in my right wrist from 4 years back. I got treatment using steroids injected to my wrist twice at the beginning a at the end if 2016.

I recently started to feel the same pain about 4 mo ago. I regressed my workout and took care of it via a brace at night and pain killers. The situation didn’t get better. So I went to se a sport physician and given my history he gave me another shot of steroids. My pain went away last 2 times but this time it didn’t. I have high low says of pain here and there. I do not want to do another injection but I want to keep my workout. To be more specific it hurts when I bench or do bicep/tricep excerices and I am doing them on low weight and rep. Do you have suggestions how to deal and hopefully heal this pain? Thank you for all the work you do.

@3shagh Hey - sorry to hear about De Quervain’s syndrome. I’ve discussed my approach to dealing with this previously, see - https://forum.barbellmedicine.com/forums/pain-and-rehab-q-a-with-dr-derek-miles-and-dr-michael-ray/35593-tenosynovitis-in-wrist
