In January I had a crash on my snowboard which caused me to get an x-ray, but the doctors at the hospital could not tell if it was broken. They told me it may be a scaphoid fracture, and I got a CT scan to check it out. The CT scan had the same result as the x-ray in that they could not tell if there was a break, and they warned me about the fact that a scaphoid fracture would not hurt very much. Afraid of loosing six months of working I did not get the recommended bone scan, and it eventually healed. I started the SSLP around April, and had no wrist pain for the whole four months. After my LP ended I wanted to learn the Olympic lifts (I had been doing rows rather than cleans during LP), and I signed up at a local gym that had group training. After my first time learning the clean and the front squat my wrist pain came back abruptly, and I had to bike home from the gym with one hand. After this session I was un-able press or bench press the empty bar without sharp pain, and am now getting pain doing my job as a mechanic. It has slowly gotten better since that first session, but I am afraid of it staying with me for quite a long time. I am looking into getting it X-rayed again, but I do not know what to do if it is a tendon issue and not a bone issue. Is there any training or exercise remedies to this pain? A lot of the pain material that I have found on here deals with issues that are more muscle related, and assuming the injury begins in the gym when it is join related. Is there much I can do myself to heal this injury? (assuming it is not a fracture) I apologize for any terrible misuse of any medical terms in this post I’m young and an arts student.
