Hey guys,
35, 6’2” 220 intermediate. I took the last two weeks off from training due to some much more important family needs (so, yes, what I did was not train). Anyways, I’m going to be starting the Hypertrophy template and was wondering if it is a reasonable course of action to simply plan on doing week 1 twice to begin. The first time to a) “come back” from the time off—whatever that means, and 2) use it to somewhat gauge where I’m at strength wise to give me general idea of how much weight I should start with to hit the prescribed RPEs, as with some setbacks from injury I don’t really have a good idea true e1RMs…at least on my squat and deadlift.
