For the past 6 months I’ve been using a cheap 4 inch nylon belt when lifting. I really feel like I’ve outgrown it the last couple weeks and would like to invest in a quality leather belt in 10mm. As a male I have relatively high hips and an average to short length torso. In fact, the distance between the bottom of my ribs and the top of my hips when measured from at my sides is only around 1.5 inches. Given that, would I be a good candidate or the 3 inch belt or should I stick to the standard 4 inch?
It might be worth noting that I have never really used a traditional leather belt so I don’t know what to expect. I did experience slight hip bruising when using my 4 inch nylon belt while squatting for the first few uses when it was at its firmest.
Thank you in advance!
