I’ve been working out regularly since last June (4x a week), and now I’d like to begin the Starting Strength novice program. I’m 5’11" and overweight (210lbs - I’m guessing my BMI is in the 20s).
I know I have to be in a caloric deficit to lose weight - but that’s seemingly impossible based on the protein requirements, etc with the SS program.
Should I cut weight first, and then focus on starting the program in earnest? Or will I naturally cut fat during the program given the higher protein intake? (I don’t care about abs, but I want a gut either.)
