Add 4 more development weeks in Strength 1 to time with meet date?

I’m doing a meet on Dec. 3 and I’m about to start week 4 of Strength 1.

Dec. 3 is 14 weeks away and I have only 10 weeks left in Strength 1. How should I plan my training for the extra 4 weeks?

Strength 1 has the following weeks:

  1. Wk 1: low stress
  2. Wks 2 to 6: development
  3. Wk 7: low stress
  4. Wks 8 to 10: specialization
  5. Wks 11 to 12: sports form
  6. Wk 13: realization Would you do an extra 4 weeks of development? For example, after I complete week 6, should I repeat weeks 3, 4, 5, and 6 of development? That would add 4 weeks and then I can move on to week 7?

This is just an idea but I’ll do what you recommend! Thank you!

This will be my third meet. I’m 45, compete at 90kg, and my last competition lifts were 485 squat, 276 bench, 513 deadlift. My instagram with my lifts is https://www.instagram.com/kevinkanecanada

Hmm, this is kind of tricky as that’s a pretty long time to be on prep depending on your previous training. I’d favor something like this for the next 14 weeks:

Wk 1-3 - Finish development block as planned
Wk 4: low stress
Wk 5-6: Specialization block (1 week shorter)
Wk 7: low stress
Wk 8-11: Developmental block
Wk 12-13 Sports form
Wk 14: realization

Thanks Jordan! So we:

  1. Added 4 weeks of development.
  2. Added 1 week of low stress.
  3. Removed 1 week of specialization.

In total that gives an extra 4 weeks of training. Perfect! I edited the spreadsheet and I’m ready to go! Thanks again.
