I’m planning on doing my second meet ever and my first USAPL meet on April 10. I bought the Strength III template, which I’m really excited for, and I plan to run it to prep and peek for this meet. To have the time work out, I would need to start week 1 in the third week of January (12-18). I’m currently on week 7 of the Hypertrophy II template, and I will be finishing week 10 during the week of Christmas. That gives me two weeks in between the end of Hypertrophy II and the start of Strength III. I was originally planning to just write up a sort of 2 week pivot block to run in between, but I don’t know if that would be better than extending each program by 1 week or one of the programs by 2 weeks so I have more time in development leading up to the meet. What would you recommend? Should I run a 2 week pivot of some kind, or extend one or both of the programs? If I should go with the latter option, which weeks of which programs should I repeat to get 2 more weeks out of them?
