alcohol and training

i was wondering, does having a moderate amount of alcohol negatively impact training? ie: having one beer for dinner a few hours post session. i stopped drinking altogether about five years ago when i was going overboard with it but this time around im doing it the “adult” way. anyway, i dont want it to get in the way of my strength goals.

One standard drink a few times per week is unlikely to cause significant problems with respect to training. With that said, some people are going to be more sensitive to the effects than others, for example with respect to sleep quality.
