Baloon Rhinoplasty and training

I want to start by thanking Jordan. i saw you discuss sleep apnea in a video and realized how big of a problem it may be. Since December, I am now on a c-pap and recently had balloon rhinoplasty and turbinate reduction to open up the sinus. I didn’t really ask about training but started back on week 1 of the 7 week hypertrophy again last week. It was tough but I got in the gym after the out patient surgery last Wednesday. Yesterday seemed fine in the gym but a little fatigued with the extra sets for week 2. Today I felt pretty beat and had a hard time finishing day 2. This could be an off day but I did want to double check if I may need to take it easier while the surgery heals. Today has been a week and my nose had some dried blood again after not seeing any for a day or two. I have been rinsing my sinuses 3 to 5 times a day as well. I have a follow up with the ENT next week.

Feeling fatigued with training is not concerning to us – I would just follow the RPE prescriptions.

Unfortunately we can’t provide specific recommendations regarding training with respect to your surgery, however.

Thanks. I had taken a little time before off going back. My guess is I am probably not being honest with the RPE and calling a RPE 9 a 8. It could just be a recovery issue considering I might be working on higher RPE. I also have started just with the prescribed reps for all warmup sets vs. a taper so that may be making a bit of difference. As with most people, I tend to look at the external before looking internally and asking was considering week 2 adds a set to the main exercises and a little more volume warming up was that really the prescribed RPE.
