I am about to finish bb2. I had good results. I was thinking of repeating bb1 or bb2
if I repeat bb2, can I just repeat the fourth phase? Which is 20 sets each workout day? Or is it better to start with phase 1 and start with the less volume and build up?
meaninfni was thinking maybe I should just run the high volume phase 4 again after finishing it instead of starting from phase1, or do you recommend phase 1?
also, in bb2 for one chest exercise like barbell bench it says to do 4 sets of 3-5 reps, would I get more hypertrophy if I just did 10-12 reps for this also or what is the benefit of doing 3-5 here then higher reps for other exercises? With goal being hypertrophy
As discussed in previous threads, I think either program would be fine. They are programmed a bit differently and I’d use personal preference to make this decision. I think all of your hypertrophy related concerns and questions have a similar answer: more time training + some weight gain.
I would recommend running the template as programmed, e.g. the order and reps. I do not think you’re likely to get more hypertrophy with sets of 10-12 for that exercise, but if you want to try it out, you can.
I agree thank you. I will run bb1 again
i will increase my calories. Do you recommend increasing protein or doesn’t matter if fats or carbs? I eat the minimum recommended daily protein intake you had suggested
Thank you. I have been training for a decade. Maybe not properly but it’s been a while and last few years have been proper with Bb medicine. My goal is to go from 16 to 17 inch arms
given I have lot of training experience and have run bb1 many times and also bb2
is there any benefit for me to modify these and do even more sets? Like is there benefit if I do more than 20 sets for big body parts and more then 16 per week for bicep and tricep each?
I do need to eat more. Besides from health reasons can I get these extra calories from less healthy stuff like simple sugars etc if I am eating my daily fiber and vegetable and fruit intake? My diet is healthy. I already eat like 3000 calories a day. I need to increase to gain more body weight. But I can only eat so much healthy stuff as I always feel full, it may be easier to get more calories in by eating simple sugar, whole milk vs regular milk, etc. so would that promote more body fat or only increasing calories with clean things will minimize body fat?
for instance there’s also a muscle milk muscle gainer which is nsf certified, so that gives me more calories but I think it’s mostly simple sugar giving the carbs.
eating more complex carbs is more fiber and I don’t think my system can handle more fiber
