Belt or no belt for supplemental exercises.

Seem some others posts on here about whether or not to use a belt with supplemental exercises or not. Seems you guys recommend not using one, I’m assuming it’s to keep the absolute intensity down a bit. But also notice that Jordan uses his belt a lot on his supplemental lifts. Wondering if this is just what you normally do or if it’s just when you closer to a comp.

I tend to recommend for people to do them beltless unless they have a meet coming up (like I did) or have some other reason to use the belt.

Typically, how many weeks prior a meet do you recommend including a belt for variations?

Are the overloaded movements on PL2 considered supplemental exercises? For example, the overloaded deadlift / squat as the first movements of day 3 and 4? Thanks!

There is no general rule of thumb here, but typically somewhere in the last 1-2 blocks. To be clear, I don’t think this matters much in the grand scheme of things. If you’re not signed up for a meet right now, I would spend 0 additional time thinking about this and do the supplemental lifts beltless.

Yes, they are.
