Bilateral Labra Tear Question for Jordan

Hey Jordan,
I remember hearing that you had bilateral labra tears and adjusted your training to accommodate for pain during squatting. I had two bilateral labra tears repaired surgically 15 months ago and am still in pain while squatting. Other than managing training load, what, if any, strategies did you use to reduce pain and thus continue to train the squat effectively over time?

Managing training loads and using tolerable variations is really the key here. There aren’t any magic tricks, unfortunately. If things are still painful, it sounds like you’re probably loading things above their tolerance and keeping things sensitized.

If you’d like individualized guidance with the process, our rehab guys would be happy to help.
