Injury rehab plan

2 weeks ago, I injured the part of my gluteus maximus that attaches to my sacrum and coxxys while squatting.
Last week I trained through it, experiencing a dull pain at the top of my buttcrack during squatting and deadlifting.
While the pain isn´t severe, I can tell I´m aggravating it when training with heavier loads.

I want this to heal so yesterday I squatted, warming up slowly to 85 kg. At this weight I felt a minor ache
during the first rep of the set which got less during the following reps. I did 6 sets of 6 and this pattern repeated
itself for all sets. The weight was about 55/65 kg less than I would normally use for 6 reps.
The day after it feels okay, not better but not worse either.

My question is if it is a good idea to keep training and select a load based on the sensation described above,
or that I should go even lighter, not feeling anything?

I think what you did was fine, and would continue progressing from there.
