Blood flow restriction training

Hey Dr. Jordan,
I was wondering what your overall thoughts are on BFR and it’s usefulness for GPP? Would it be worth implementing if someone wanted to say add it in for biceps work on a GPP day? Also, is it safe to do without physician supervision? Are there any harms to it? T

It probably doesn’t provide any unique benefits for GPP compared to non-BFR training. The idea is that by inducing a bunch of local fatigue, you can potentially generate similar amounts of hypertrophy with lower training loads.
