Blood Occlusion Training

Is the current evidence on blood occlusion training too weak for you to recommend using it outside of post op. rehab purposes?

I’m running the beginner template and thought the GPP day arm work might be a good time to throw the bands on, especially when the prescription changes to “7 minutes of work”

BUT if you think it’s a waste of time I’ll tuck the BFR bands back in the drawer!

Thanks!
Kyle

BFR is useful for hypertrophy (not strength really), but it’s not better than traditional training methods necessarily. It’s a good option when the amount of weight you can use is limited. So in this scenario, I can’t see a benefit.

Makes sense. Thanks!
