Second time I’ve (most likely…) broken my toe via plate droppage. I’m clumsy.
Obviously each specific case is different, but in general what would BBM recommend?
Im seeing conflicting info on immobilizing the foot as much as possible, rest RICE and limit activity, don’t take NSAIDs, etc etc
I was going to try and lift through it as much as I can tolerate. Is this stupid? If cardio makes the pain better can I continue or should I really focus on keeping it immobilized ?

As far as what to do, we can’t really give you specific medical advice via the forum. I can say that RICE and limiting NSAIDs doesn’t really apply here. If there is concern for dislocation or an displaced fracture, you’d need to see a doctor for that. These things can be hard to identify without an exam and imaging. Save for that, buddy taping is likely what I’d personally do, and being active to tolerance.
