Dear Docs,
I’ve been in a surplus on and off for a couple months now due to lack of adherence. Finally, I’ve been able to eat the about the same amount of calories due to FitGenie and a good scale. I’ve been eating around 3050 calories (+/- 30 calories maybe due to the food scale error) from May 15th (156.8) to yesterday.
In 15 days (15th-30th), I’ve gained 2 pounds (156.8->158.6) but since then (13 days), I’ve gained 4 pounds (158.6->163). My activity level is about the same (I walk the same length everyday in the morning).
This might be relevant but since the 28th of May, I’ve been taking 25mg of amitriptyline. My NEAT has probably decreased, but I don’t think it would be drastic enough to cause it to this degree.
So…
Should I decrease calories to reach a more moderate surplus?
Calories (3050 since May 15th)
Weight (156.8->158.6 in 15 Days) (158.6->163 in 13 Days)
No Change in Calories
Moderate Change In Activity, “Same” Step Count, Probably Less NEAT.
I should probably should be able to figure this out myself but I’ve been overthinking it quite a bit, and I figured just getting some reassurance/advice from one of you would lessen my internal load here.
Thanks!
