Hi Jordan, do you know of any good cookbook with recipes high in protein, which is not full of pseudoscience BS?
Bonus points if it has a macro breakdown of the recipes (or at least the protein content). Extra bonus points if it has metric units, but I’m not keeping my hopes up.
Eh, that’s a tall order. Leah has been working on a cookbook, but to date I haven’t found a cookbook that satisfies all your needs. I like Salt, Acid, Fat, and Heat along with Ruhlman’s 20. Not really cookbooks per se’, but more of a, "Hey dummy, learn to cook these things: with some science!
I would recommend allrecipes.com or genius kitchen for recipes, just search by recipes for chicken, fish, flank steak ,etc. It’s very easy to figure macros when cooking (excel or use the recipe link in myfitnesspal), plus you never know the specific ingredients people use when figuring macros, ie: someone using 80% ground beef vs 95% ground been , whole milk vs skim milk, chicken thighs vs breasts. Increasing protein content is fairly simple for most recipes, just by increasing the main protein ingredient.
Yea I do like Genius Kitchen.
