Long time listener, first time caller. This may have already been answered in the forum, but I’m not sure how to find it.
My question is related to any program where it lists the last 3 sets of a lift at 8 RPE. Right now I’m doing the 7 week Hypertrophy 3-day program and it says:
“• 6 Reps @ 6 RPE (72%)
• 6 Reps @ 7 RPE (76%)
• 6 Reps @ 8 RPE (79%) x 3 Sets”
For the last 3 sets @8 RPE, is it expected that the weight stays the same, or do I adjust it so each set is an 8? I find myself getting more tired on the 2nd and 3rd set, so if I’m deadlifting at 285 the first set, the second set of 285 is feeling like a 9, do I reduce the weight for the last set or just power through?
