Eating after workout

Hello…

Also, how long should you wait to eat after a workout…

No particular time frame, but I would spread most meals 3-5 hours apart. Thus, eating 3-5 hours after your pre workout meal would be the move.

I work out in the morning, and i don’t eat anything before hand , just a glass of caffinated peri peri. In this case would how soon after a workout should i eat?

After your workout would be a good time for breakfast, but again, there’s no specific time that you should eat. In other words, within 30 min isn’t better than 60 or 90 minutes. At some point, fasting for long enough reduces the # of meals you can have that are spread by 3-5 hours.

Jordan,

From listening to your YouTube and podcast episodes, my understanding is that the (primary) reason for spacing meals 3-5 hours is to allow the protein to synthesize effectively. Assuming my understanding is accurate, what about snacking on non-protein foods in between? Like an apple? Or, I often have a coffee with fat-free creamer in between. It may be over-optimization to think about this but I am curious.
