Essential amino acids instead of whey protein

As a lactose intolerant individual, I’m thinking of taking an EAA supplement to boost my protein intake. Do you have any guidelines on how much/how often I should be taking them?

(I previously posted this but it never made it through the moderation queue. I’m not sure why that is. I tried Googling it, but I can’t find much information on this, other than an article by Ben Greenfield, which I’m not sure is sound advice.)

There’s essentially no lactose in a good whey protein isolate (like ours), but if you wanted to use something different I would use egg or beef protein over stand alone EAA’s.

Why? Price?
